Cigars - Griffin Cigars

You can recognise a Griffin's «Maduro» cigar by its darker wrapper leaf. The name «Maduro» means «mature», «ripe» in Spanish. These new cigars are made with a special broadleaf wrapper leaf which is planted in Connecticut, USA, and then left to grow in the sun. |

The broadleaf variety is a bigger and structurally stronger leaf which is well able to withstand the rigorous fermentation process involved in producing the finished wrapper leaf. |
A second fermentation process, which takes around 3 months, gives the wrapper leaf its typically dark colour plus a slightly sweet taste and a strong aroma. In comparison to other Griffin's cigars, Griffin's Maduros have a rather more robust, yet still harmonious character which is visibly underlined by the dark wrapper leaf.
