Cigars - Gispert cigars
![]() |
The Gispert is a reprisal of a classic Cuban brand created in the mid-1940s by SeƱor Simon Pelaez. Originally made in the Pinar del Rio region of Cuba, it was crafted to be a light daytime cigar that could be purchased at a discount. |
In keeping with its roots, Altadis has recreated this cigar as a smooth blend, which can be sold at a great value price.
Handmade in Honduras, the new Gispert is a mild-to-medium recipe with a golden Connecticut seed wrapper grown in Ecuador, and a blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan secos and ligero. With a distinct hazelnut flavor, this is a very creamy smoke with a tangy, sweet, cedar finish. Although inexpensive when compared to Altadis' premier premiums like Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta, the construction and the quality of the leaf used in this cigar are excellent. And much to their credit, the Honduran Gispert is a much better cigar than the current Cuban version being made today. Highly recommend if you want a cigar just slightly on the milder side of medium.
